About the client

A Canadian family business with a global presence

Based in Montreal, Groupe la Vie en Rose is a Canadian family business that has been part of the retail market for 40 years. It brings together two well-established brands: la Vie en Rose, an expert in lingerie, swimwear, and sleepwear, and Bikini Village, known for its selection of swimwear and beachwear for women and men. Under these banners, Groupe la Vie en Rose today operates more than 400 stores across Canada, the United States, and internationally, in 18 countries.

Backed by this global presence and more than 5,800 employees, Groupe la Vie en Rose continues to grow, with the goal of further expanding both of its brands.

The Challenge

Keeping every transaction smooth — even when volume spikes

Groupe la Vie en Rose runs a high-volume retail and e-commerce operation where sales, orders, and deliveries depend on several systems that must work in concert. That orchestration has to stay fast and reliable day to day — and absorb enormous spikes during events like Black Friday and Boxing Day without dropping a single transaction. Point-to-point integration couldn’t deliver that and, with revenue and the customer experience on the line, security and high availability were non-negotiable. They needed an integration foundation engineered to stay stable and smooth, whatever the load.

The PSTOX Engagement

From architecture to a production-ready integration foundation

A certified MuleSoft partner with more than a decade of enterprise delivery, PSTOX designed and built the integration layer that orchestrates commerce for Groupe la Vie en Rose — with MuleSoft as the conductor connecting sales, orders, and order fulfillment.

1
Architecture

Architecture and design

Designed the target integration architecture on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, positioning MuleSoft as the commerce orchestration layer — API-led, with high availability and resilience to load peaks built into the blueprint from the outset.

2
Foundation

Integration foundation

Deployed the Anypoint foundation — environments, runtimes, security controls, and a high-availability configuration — so the platform could run critical commerce flows reliably and securely.

3
Orchestration

Orchestrating commerce

Connected and orchestrated the flow of sales, orders, and deliveries across Groupe la Vie en Rose’s systems, so every transaction moves cleanly from purchase through to fulfillment.

4
Scale

Built for peak demand

Engineered the platform to absorb the volume peaks of major shopping events — the kind of load Black Friday and Boxing Day bring — with transactions that stay smooth from start to finish.

The Approach

Built to stay stable when traffic surges

MuleSoft as the conductor

MuleSoft directs the flow across commerce systems, so sales, orders, and deliveries move through a single coordinated, observable layer rather than fragile point-to-point links.

High availability by design

A resilient, highly available setup keeps critical commerce flows running, so an incident in one place doesn’t halt the whole chain of transactions.

Built for peak demand

The architecture is built to absorb sharp volume spikes, so the platform stays stable when traffic surges on the busiest sales days of the year.

Security on every transaction

Encrypted transport and consistently enforced API policies protect sales and customer data as it moves between systems.

The Outcome

Smooth transactions, proven under real peak load

Smooth at any volume

Sales, orders, and deliveries flow cleanly, whether it’s an ordinary day or the busiest one of the year.

Stable on the busiest days

The platform held up under the load of peak events like Black Friday and Boxing Day — proving its stability and robustness where it matters most.

Secure and highly available

A foundation that meets the security and availability demands a high-volume retail business depends on.

Ready for what’s next

A robust integration foundation that grows with the business and supports future evolutions of the commerce platform.

Looking Ahead

A foundation built to evolve

The MuleSoft platform PSTOX delivered is more than the backbone of today’s commerce — its stability under real peak load makes it a proven foundation for future evolutions, as Groupe la Vie en Rose adds channels, systems, and capabilities over time.
